Spectrum Gala Volunteer 2026
It’s that time again. Spectrum Gala 2026 is coming up, and we are looking for 55 volunteers to help support the event. At present, we are only seeking volunteers based in the London area.
Date: Thursday 01 October
Location: OWO, Raffles, Whitehall, London
Timings:
• Event: 7:00pm to 10:30pm
• Volunteers onsite: 5:00pm to 11:30pm (we can be flexible)
You will be supporting an exciting black-tie evening attended by 450 high-profile Barclays guests.
Volunteer activities may include:
- Greeting guests
- Selling raffle tickets during the cocktail reception
- Supporting a table of 10 guests throughout the evening (1 volunteer per table)
- Collecting payments for raffle tickets, games and other activities or items - Assisting guests with placing bids in the online silent auction via tablets or mobile phones
- Collecting live auction payments in the room
- Staff room support (Money handling, refilling volunteer’s tickets, card terminal help etc…)
- Managing the raffle table collection point
- Managing the live/silent auction lots collection point
All while enjoying an unforgettable evening, including entertainment from a surprise celebrity guest. Last year we had the lovely Alexandra Burke.
Dress code: Smart attire (further details will be shared during the event briefing. (Briefing date TBC)
Additional information:
• Local travel and childcare expenses will be reimbursed including taxi fares after 21:00pm
• A meal will be provided during the event with a 35–40-minute break (additional breaks can be taken if required)
• Volunteers can claim back 7 hours TOIL

Pre event at CY (4 volunteers)
Wednesday 30 September 11:00-15:00
To gather all stock, prizes etc at CY to take to the event
Event day Morning (8 volunteers)
Thursday 01 October - 10:00am onwards (usually set up is done by 15:00pm)
Load stock to take to the venue, off load and help set up
Post Event (6 volunteers)
Friday 02 October – 10:00am at the venue
Load stock to take back to CY and off load

Terrence Higgins Trust was set up in 1982 following the death of its namesake, Terry Higgins, the first named person to die of an AIDS-related illness in the UK. As an organisation we are working toward ambitious goals: (1) to end the onward transmission of HIV in the UK by 2030; (2) provide support for people living with HIV; and (3) fight HIV-related stigma.
